MIDI and audio control
ACID Pro 7 software is a comprehensive DAW environment that offers high-precision MIDI editing using ergonomically satisfying controls. Edit more MIDI data faster and enjoy longer, fatigue-free production sessions with our user-friendly tools.
Manipulate MIDI data directly on the ACID timeline in piano roll and drum grid interfaces. Edit note positions, velocities, pitch bends, and controller information in the main multitrack interface.
Drum grid mode
ACID Pro 7 Drum Grid Mode provides you with an easy and intuitive way to create and edit drum patterns directly on the timeline.
MIDI track freeze
Freeze MIDI tracks that are routed to soft synths. Once frozen, the tracks are streamed and played back as audio files, conserving valuable CPU processing power.
Drum and patch map editors
efficiently create and edit drum maps. Use templates to label patch and drum names for hardware or software-based MIDI synthesizers and drum machines. Save your templates and share them with other ACID Pro 7 users.
Envelope Automation Recording
Record track envelope and keyframe parameters in real time using a mouse or external control surfaces with touch and latch record modes and automatic post-record keyframe thinning. Automation parameter control is available for both stereo and 5.1 tracks and busses.
ReWire mixer and device support
ACID Pro software works as both a ReWire host and a device. Use ACID software as part of your synchronized workflow with compatible applications such as Sonar, Nuendo, Cubase, Live, or Pro Tools.
Audio plug-in manager
The Plug-In Manager lets you quickly add effects to a track, bus, assignable effects chain, or soft synth bus. You can also easily rename and organize plug-ins.
VSTi parameter automation
Increase your mixing flexibility by incorporating automation envelopes to control VST instruments in your ACID Pro 7 projects.
VST effects support
ACID Pro 7 software natively supports VST effects, including automation of effects parameters, giving you the creative edge.
MIDI filtering and processing
Process MIDI data directly on the ACID Pro 7 timeline, including quantization and global editing of velocity values, event duration changes, and more.
MIDI track envelopes and keyframes
Use track envelopes and keyframes to implement continuous controller and program changes. ACID Pro 7 software has an intuitive interface so you can efficiently modify pitch, modulation, expression, or change MIDI controller data, including project-wide changes.
Groove quantization tools
ACID Pro 7 software features our patent-pending Groove Mapping and Groove Cloning quantization technology. With these tools, you can significantly expand your loop collection by morphing existing loops into fresh, new sounds. Apply different grooves to a track, extract a groove from one file and apply it to another, or create and export custom grooves.
