Sony Memory Drive Unit SR-D1 v1.57 for Macintosh - 21/August/2019 revised (refer to marks of "*") This document gives how to install the Driver software for the SR-D1 and some instructions and directions for use. This Software Version 1.57 has the following new functions. * V1.57 officially supports macOS 10.14 Mojave and has fixed bug in V1.56 installer. 1. Supported OS Macintosh (referred as "Mac", hereafter): Mac OS X 10.6 or later (64bit) Mac OS X 10.7 or later (64bit) Mac OS X 10.8 or later (64bit) Mac OS X 10.9 or later (64bit) Mac OS X 10.10 or later (64bit) Mac OS X 10.11 or later (64bit) macOS 10.12.6 (64bit) macOS 10.13.6 (64bit) *macOS 10.14.3 (64bit) 2. Installation Mac: Double-click the installer module, "SRMemoryDriveSoftware_v1_57.dmg", and follow the instructions of installer. SRMemoryDriveSoftware will be overwritten. No need to uninstall "SRMemoryDriveSoftware_v1_56" nor former. Note This software includes SR-D1 firmware. Be sure to update the version of firmware from a Utility screen to 1.520 after installing the driver software. -Mac: Applications -> Sony SRMemory Drive -> Sony SRMemory Drive Utility.app 3. PC/Mac Configurations In order to maintain the optimum performance for file transfer, below settings are recommended on the PC or Mac. - Select "High Performance" for a power plan. - Disable or unload anti-virus or backup storage monitoring software, just while file transferring. 4. Notes - Simultaneous open files are up to 128 on the SR-D1. - Volume label will be reset to the factory default (SRMemory) when the SRMemory card is formatted, which requires salvage. - When a mount failure occurs, both Status and Slot lamps flashes in RED and the SR-D1 Utility does not pop-up. In such cases, please remove the card once by pressing the UNLOCK button and insert the card again. - When an SRMemory card can not be UNLOCK'ed, please remove the card right after turn off and turn on the power, while the card is unlocked. Or Use manual eject, when power is not available (see operation manual) - It is recommended to reboot host PC or Mac when eSATA cable is unplugged or the SR-D1 is turned off. - A device recognition is failed by host PC or Mac, when the eSATA indicator on the SR-D1 does not come up in 30 seconds after connection. In such cases, please repower, power off and on, the SR-D1. - It is recommended to reboot the both SR-D1 and Host PC or Mac when switching the connection from eSATA to USB3.0, or vice versa. 5. Suggested Interface card (referred as "I/F", hereafter) Please use the specified device driver for the eSATA or USB3.0 cards. Combinations of the suggested (tested) I/F cards and the versions of device driver are as follows: (F) represents preferred models. Mac: USB3.0 (F) The on-board USB3.0 port eSATA Sonnet Tempo SATA 3/4 Express Card /34 (http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_sata_express34.html) Sonnet Tempo SATA Driver: Ver1.2.6 (20/11/2011) (Thunderbolt connection is unsupported.) Past OS X v10.10 is enable: CalDigit FASTA-6GU3 (http://www.caldigit.com/FASTA-6GU3/) CalDigit AHCI Controller Driver : Ver1.0.4 (11/11/2011) 6. System requirement Mac: CPU: 3GHz 4core or more Memory: 12GB or more [History] 15/Jan/2013 V1.52 relelased. 30/Jan/2014 Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks was added in [Supported OS].
