Thank you for purchasing DoStudio Authoring 2.6 software. This document contains information about installing and using DoStudio Authoring on your computer.
 
2.0 What's New
Notable fixes/changes in version 2.6
  • New single-step process for registering trial versions.
  • The Import Chapters from Text File command has been restored.
  • The subtitle cropping tool now supports files with mixed case or uppercase file extensions.
  • The MCMF.xml file is now correctly generated for BDCMF.
New features in version 2.5
  • In DoStudio Authoring EX Edition, you can now select your project type. Selecting a project type limits the menu features available in the DoStudio Authoring workspace.
  • Improved backup features for migrating and exporting projects.
  • Automated compilation of movie objects
  • You can now perform a 2D compile on a 3D project.
  • You can now import chapters from Vegas Pro.
  • Improved support for seamless playback of subtitles.
  • Cropping of full frame subtitles for improved multiplexing speed.
3.0 Known Issues
  • Slideshow playlists play back inconsistently on software players. Some settop players might not load an HDMV menu.
  • Quick Compile of a 3D project in 2D mode does not work unless the project is multiplexed and the .iso is unzipped in the Disc folder.

The following lists the minimum system requirements for using DoStudio Authoring software:

  • 2.6 GHz dual quad-core processor
  • 250 GB system hard drive with second 1 TB hard drive
  • 6 GB RAM
  • Supported NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel graphics card
    • NVIDIA GT 21x or higher
    • NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or higher
    • ATI Radeon HD 5000 or higher
    • ATI Radeon HD 4000 or higher
    • Intel G45 or higher
  • Supported BD-R/-RE drive (2X or faster)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
Apple Mac Pro System Requirements
  • Mac Pro (Early 2009) or later running Windows in Boot Camp (virtual machines are not supported)
  • 640 GB system hard drive and second 1 TB hard drive
  • 6 GB RAM
For 3D playback using active shutter glasses
  • CyberLink PowerDVD 10 or ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3
  • NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision Kit
  • NVIDIA GeForce 3D-compatible graphics card
  • Acer 3D-capable screen with active shutter glasses
  • Interleaved MVC stream or 3D Blu-ray Disc folder
5.0 DoStudio Authoring User Manual
Included on the DoStudio Authoring application disc is a complete DoStudio Authoring User Manual in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. The Acrobat format allows easy printing of the text, should you need a hard copy. The manual is installed with the software and is available from the Start menu.

In order to view the manual, you will need to install Adobe Reader. You can download the latest version of Adobe Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/.
