The best music creation software I've used!
I've been using Acid products for quite a while and they are the best out there for the value. They are really versatile and easy to use. I also like that you can dowload free loop packs which expands your library. I'd recommend it to anybody!

Music Studio 8 is a Plus in my Book
I am just starting to use the program, but it is far better than the other software that came with my keyboard. I am still getting the hang of it, but it is quite simple to manage and arrange loops on the program. Saving your work is simple and really easy to find in your document folder. The software hasn't caused any computer errors and works like a charm. I can't wait to take full advantage of the softwares capabilities. I plan to use the software in Vagas Pro for music editing and sound effects when I get enough money. Can't wait. Keep up the good work Sony. Great Product and I would recomend this to everyone who is interested in mixing sound or creating music.

Even for beginners
Bought this for my 11 yrs old son. But even I can figure this out. That says a lot. It's not as scarey as I thought. I've never used a music program before, but needed something that was easy enough for my son to use without getting descurraged. It fits the bill nicly. A great learning tool to teach and advanced enough that it will grow with him without having to upgrade for some time, that's if he desires to go in this direction in music. Best of all is the cost. No more then a video game. Right on.

Works Every Time
I first got this software to help make a mix for a competion, after some of the audiences heard my mix they started asking me if I could make some more for them. This software has helped me with many of my school projects and ideas. I would recomend this sofware to anyone and everyone!!!

Simply Amazing
My friend has this product and we use it when we make music. I was familiar with Vegas Studio and this was surprisingly similar to it. It's like they are brother and sister! The loops are outstanding and it's so easy to edit a whole bunch of audio for remixes. I can't wait to get one myself!

Loaded with awesome features
from the minute i opened this i could tell the difference in quality...most are terrible but this one is pretty neat..glad to see i can always count on Sony for excellent software

Great for learning the tricks and trades of recording
This is the very first Music Program i have ever used. Its easy to learn on your on and taught me so much without having to take a course in Recording or Production at a very affordable price. I recommend this software to new comers as well as professionals.

Easy and Intuitive
I purchased this product to create royalty free music for my videos, which I edit in Vegas Pro. As a non-musician, I wanted a product that would be easy and intuitive. I found this in ACID Music Studio 8.
If you are familiar with the Vegas Movie Studio or Vegas Pro interface, you will be right at home with ACID Music Studio 8. Sure a few things are different, but for the most part you can launch ACID and jump in. If you are new to Sony Creative Software, well, not to worry. You can find your way around by watching the free tutorials on the Support/Training page of this site.
ACID Music Studio 8 comes with 2000+ loops so you can start creating music right away. It was not readily obvious how to find and install the included loops. Be sure to check the ACID Product Family Forum for a few hints on how to find this content.
In addition to the 2000+ loops that come with the product, every Friday you can download free 8-Packs from ACID Planet. That’s right, FREE content! You will find the link on this site under Downloads/Free Downloads. The 8-Pack includes free samples of content that you can purchase at ACID Planet. The content can also be purchased from this site under Content/Loops & Samples. Regardless whether you purchase the full content, the samples are yours to keep and use. The 8-Pack also includes one or more ACID projects created with the sample content. The project(s) run about 2 minutes in length and are suitable to render out as royalty free music or use as a jumping off point to create your own customized version. So here is yet another reason to look forward to Fridays!
Creating music is pretty straightforward. You preview the loops and drag the ones that you like to the timeline. The 2000+ loops that come with the product as well as any loops that you acquire from Sony Creative Software are coded so that they fit the tempo and key of your ACID project. This means you can mix and match loops and ACID Music Studio 8 handles a lot of the pesky details for you.
Okay, you have read several reviews about ACID Music Studio 8 and you are still not sure. No problem! Just download a trial from this site and give it a try. Of course they don't give you the 2000+ loops on your trial, but you can head over to ACID Planet and download a free 8-Pack. That will give you enough to get started and see if you like it. That’s what I did and it was enough to convince me. Now ACID Music Studio 8 is my “go to” tool for music in my videos.
