Blu-print_20090507_v4_4_7_11986.exe Upgrade Instructions
- For systems running Blu-print 4.3, no additional prerequisite software is needed.
To install Blu-print on Windows XP with service pack 2 or 3, please run the “Blu-print
4.3 and 4.4 Prerequisites.exe” file first, follow the instructions and reboot the machine.
Then run the Blu-print_20090507_v4_4_7_11986.exe file to complete the installation of Blu-print 4.4
- To install Blu-print on Windows Vista with the SQL2005 Express option,
please consult the installation manual for Blu-print on SQL2005.
Please install the Microsoft .Net 2.0 redistributable in
order to use the Batch File Explorer*. The .NET 2.0 installer
can be downloaded from
Microsoft website.
If you have a previous version of Blu-print installed, the
installer will ask you whether to use your existing Project
Locator database. You may either continue using your
existing projects, or clear all projects from the database.
- The default path for creating new projects is
"C:\Blu-print Projects". If you wish to modify it, edit the
fixedconfig.xml file on the following line: C:\Blu-print
Projects
(*Note: the "Batch File Explorer" is a standalone
application that does not require a dongle and can be
installed on any number of separate machines. This application
can be used to pre-process elementary stream files to generate
the XUI files.)
Blu-print 4.4.7 Release Notes
- Highlights of New Features
- ENHANCED BD-J SECURITY
Blu-print 4.4 contains new security features for BD-J
objects and JAR signing. It can now sign the JAR files
with leaf certificates generated from the disc
application root certificate, allowing content owners
to keep their disc root certificates safe.
- BETTER INTEGRATION WITH BDJO TITLES
Blu-print 4.4 supports BDJO as first play while still
supporting the mixture of HDMV and BDJO titles on the
same disc. The author now has the ability to set which
titles in the Index Table will contain the BP
Scripting initialization code. Further, BD-J engineers
can control when such auto initialization is executed
with a special GPR name/value pair setting, specified
in the Disc properties.
Additionally, Blu-print 4.4 has improved integration
with Ensequence on-Q Create® for Blu-ray, allowing
multiple BD-J applications to be included in a single
BDJO to support title unbound, disc unbound application
playback.
- IMPROVED AACS AND BD-LIVE ONLINE SUPPORT
Blu-print 4.4 supports the creation and import of BD-Live
required certificate and signature files. It also contains
support for Basic and Enhanced Title Usage settings with
AACS-Online APIs. Multiple CPS Units including mixture of
encrypted and unencrypted content can now be defined.
- ENHANCED PHYSICAL LAYOUT ALGORITHM
Blu-print 4.4 contains more improvement to the physical
file layout routine to support better seamless connections
and seamless jumps. It also incorporates intelligence to
better balance the distribution between two layers to
improve final disc quality.
- XML TEMPLATES TO DEFINE PROJECTS AND OBJECTS
Blu-print 4.4 allows users to create XML files that define
the objects of a project. Through simple XML files, a full
set of objects and streams can be created or merged
automatically. More advanced template support will be coming
in the next release.
- ENHANCED SECONDARY STREAM AUTHORING, CLIP APPLICATION TYPE 7 AUTHORING
Clip Application Type 7 clip and secondary stream authoring
has been improved to better manage PiP metadata settings.
Restrictions have been relaxed to create secondary video/audio
subplayitems of various durations that are different from the
main segments.
- VISTA® SUPPORT
Blu-print 4.4 supports the Windows Vista operating system
through Microsoft SQL2005 Express as database engine.
However, the traditional MSDE database engine used in
Blu-print is not compatible with projects created using
SQL2005, therefore Windows XP with MSDE is still the
recommended system environment for Blu-print users.
