Hands On with Zig has been presented in various forms across the United States to over one million attendees of all ages. In his Literacy and Music Composition workshop, one of his most popular programs with schools and organizations that serve at-risk youth — Zig pairs Sony Creative Software music technology with creative writing. In these workshops, students work as teams of composers to create an original audio CD.

This interactive educational experience relates to The National Standards for Music and Technology through creation, production, history, culture, and appreciation through active audience participation.
