Editing and workflow
Sound Forge™ Pro 10 software includes professional editing tools and workflow enhancements for the demanding audio professional. Use new precise event-based editing, edit and process musical instrument files, easily edit file metadata, and perform stereo and multichannel file editing and processing.
New! Event-based editing
Sound Forge Pro 10 includes a new editing tool that offers more power and precision when working with audio files. With the Event tool, you can quickly move, split, slip, and trim multiple events, create fades, apply ASR (attack/sustain/release) envelopes and crossfades within in a single data window. Event-based editing provides an easier way to edit edges and fades and is ideal for more precise audio mastering, assembling sketches of a project, or to lay out tracks for authoring disc-at-once CDs. Cut, copy, paste and perform surgical edits directly on musical instrument files. Watch musical instrument file editing tutorial here. Quickly view bank, instrument, note range, and sample information. Effects and processes can easily be added directly to samples. Musical instrument file processing

Metadata windows can be used alongside data windows and are easily dockable within the Sound Forge interface.
Graphical fade curves
Perform quick and easy graphic fades, fade-ins, fade-outs, and crossfades. Fast, slow, smooth, sharp, and hold fade types are available in the Graphic Fade, Pan/Expand, Pitch-Bend, Envelope, and FM Synthesis dialogs.
Multitask background rendering
Work on one file while Sound Forge Pro 10 software processes another in the background.
Drag-and-drop editing between channels
Sound Forge Pro 10 software editing functionality has been enhanced to allow you to drag and drop selections of a file for pasting and mixing between channels, allowing for faster editing.
New! Enhanced Broadcast Wave Format (.bwf) support
Metadata is handled more efficiently resulting in increased productivity. Easily view and edit Broadcast Wave .bwf format properties directly within the Broadcast Wave Metadata window.
