What's a seasoned Nashville guitar-slinger doing with a full array of digital equipment?
Seizing the proverbial bull by the horns and riding it straight into the 21st century, that's what.
Troy Klontz has been playing pedal steel guitar for Brooks & Dunn since 1992. Prior to that, he spent ten years performing with Roy Clark. When he's not touring or recording, Troy keeps up with digital video and audio technology at his production company, Videit's Productions. Troy relies on Sony Creative Software products to put together commercials, music videos, and multimedia productions for a rapidly growing roster of clients.
Troy's technical know how has brought him to the attention of a number of major PC and hardware manufactures. Chances are he's produced some of the commercials or training materials you've seen recently. Troy writes:

"I recently put together three training vignettes for a major computer corporation. The budget was a small one and I had to write, film and do all the post production. I chose to use Vegas 4.0 on this project because Videit's Productions is a new company and the only camera I had at the time was a palm-corder that I borrowed from a friend.
"I was shooting on location at the company and using all the available light that I could, and because of that, when I got into the post-production, some of the angles I shot from had different color hues. I found that the newer color correction tools in Vegas 4.0 helped me make the colors of the different clips have a much better continuity.
"Second, one of the actors in this scenario was a "finger-tapper" and we had some unwanted noise on part of the audio. I was able to "fly" the offensive audio into Sound Forge and use the noise reduction tools to eliminate the noise.
"I am currently filming and editing a second online commercial exclusively using Vegas 4.0. The new surround sound mixing feature is awesome!
"The way Sony Creative Software products are integrated made it easy to pull everything together quickly and produce a winning spot."
