Installation 1) Unzip FAM_Driver_2_3_4_mac.zip while keeping the folder form. 2) Expand the disc image (FAM_Driver_2_3_4_mac.dmg) of the unzipped file. 3j Execute the package file (pkg) in the disc image. 4) Follow instructions provided by the installer. 2. Check After Installation Perform the following to view the version information, and to see if the installation is successful. Activate the finder. Execute FAM Driver Tool in the utility folder in the application folder. Check to see prodisc_fs and FAMProtocol, which appears at the bottom of the screen, is version 2.3.4. 3. FAM operation See the documentation for XDCAM devices. 4DPrecautions 1) FAM Driver supplied with PDZK-P1 Ver2.12.0 (XDCAM Transfer) is Ver.2.3.0. In case that FAM Driver Ver.2.3.4 is installed first, and then PDZK-P1 Ver2.12.0 and FAM Driver Ver.2.3.0 are installed, please re-install [FAM Driver Ver.2.3.4]. Note that FAM Driver is not installed by PDZK-P1 Ver2.13.0 (XDCAM Transfer). There is no need to re-install FAM Driver Ver.2.3.4. 2) Do not disconnect cables while accessing files. If you disconnect cables, files may get serious damages. 3) If you need to disconnect cables, make sure to demount the disc from OS first, and then disconnect cables. 4) When PC(Mac) goes into the sleep mode under the PC REMOTE state, a connection with IEEE1394 sometimes cannot be re-established. In this case, disconnect and connect again the cable. 5) Just turning off the power of the main unit does not complete the power-off, when XDCAM is in the "PC REMOTE" mode. Demount the disc from OS first, and then turn off the power of the main unit. 6) Some desktop Mac models do not successfully cancel the PC REMOTE mode while being connected to XDCAM devices, after they switch to sleep or shutdown. In this case, turn off and on again XDCAM device. 7) Do not name files, in the General folder of the Disc, using the following characters that are not allowed by operating systems: ? [ ] / \ = + < > ; : g , | * 8) Sometimes you may experience problems when trying to overwrite a large file stored in the General folder directly from an application. We recommend that you save the file to your local hard disk drive first and then copy it to the General folder from the Finder. 9) When a virus checker is activated, exclude the Disc from the scanning and real-time surveillance targets. 10) Writing plural clips to the Clip folder at the same time by a single drag & drop operation of Finder is not supported. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
