Created for use with Sony Creative Software products, the MainConcept MPEG Plug-In can be used to create high-quality MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files for VCD, SVCD, DVD and other applications. There are two versions of the MainConcept MPEG Plug-In available for purchase.

The standard version of the MainConcept MPEG Plug-In provides fixed templates for encoding high quality files for NTSC VideoCD, PAL VideoCD, NTSC SVCD, PAL SVCD, NTSC DVD and PAL DVD formats (with an option for single stream or multiple stream output for the DVD formats).

The professional version of the MainConcept MPEG Plug-In includes extensive customizable options allowing you to fine tune your MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 output. Custom MPEG-2 controls include: Framerate, Aspect Ratio, Profile, Level, Field Order, Motion Estimation, CBR/VBR, Non-Linear Quantization, DC coefficient, Color primary, Transfer, Coefficients, VBV buffer size, Audio Psychoacoustics & Emphasis, crc error protection, Sector size, Packets, Video and Audio delay, Video and Audio buffer, and more.
